The family of Mariska Karasz has a significant collection of her work. The family is interested in finding a good “home” or “homes” for this significant body of work.
Woman's Fashion
Mariska started designing and producing woman's fashion in the early 1900's in New York city. She began by working with department stores, but soon established independent studio at a varity of locations in the city.
Childern's Fashion
In the early 1930’s with the birth of her first daughter Solveig, Mariska, found that the selection of children's clothing was disappointing, pastel colors and fragile fabrics. She set out to create children’s fashion that was more functional and wearable.
